1831 - The state printing house was brought to Belgrade, purchased in 1830 in Saint Petersburg.
The first printing house in liberated Serbia began operating in September 1831. It was named the Knjaževsko-srpska pečatnja; this was the first official name of the state printing house, and the name was changed several times later.
