Offset printing is a technique in which ink is transferred from a plate directly to a blanket and then to printing paper (coated art paper, offset paper, muflon, label paper or other special paper types).Offset printing as a sophisticated process in which man and machine work together represents the very pinnacle of printing.
Colors in offset printing
The process uses four basic colors: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. These colors are printed in very small halftone dots invisible to the naked eye; the regularity and position of a halftone dot relative to its neighbor create the illusion of another color. Based on that, it is said that most other colors are produced from the four basic colors; of course there are colors that cannot be obtained from the four basics, so there is also a palette with special colors (silver, gold, fluo..). Offset printing is the most widespread form of printing both here and worldwide. It is mainly used for printing medium and large print runs, although that can vary from one printing house to another.
