Flyers have been used in marketing for decades and with good reason. They are one of the cheapest ways for mass advertising. They are great for promoting music concerts, festivals, shops, restaurants, night clubs, gyms, sports clubs and for political marketing.
Flyer design should be simple and concrete; the rule "less is more" applies here because it should be clear at first glance. It must never be cluttered with information because that has a repelling effect.
If you have multiple products and information you want to display, to avoid congestion a better solution is to make a brochure. A brochure is A4 format, folded so that unopened it appears like a leaflet.
Flyer sizes:
Standard flyer sizes are A6 or A5. The flyer size can also be any other dimension.

Flyers belong to the group of commercial (advertising) printed products. They have been an excellent type of promotional material for many years because they are one of the cheapest products to produce.
How many times have you been stopped on the street and handed a flyer you didn't even look at?
This happens because of how the flyer is designed. A flyer should be simple, concise and clear at first glance. It should primarily attract the attention of the target audience it is intended for, and then other consumers. It must not be cluttered with unnecessary text and illustrations; the content should be concise and clear.
People often confuse the terms flyer and prospectus.
A prospectus is a better solution if you have more information you want to share with the target group. It is produced on A4 format (folded it looks like a leaflet), while standard flyer formats are A5 and A6.
Although we live in a time when digital marketing plays a major role in advertising products or services, we must not forget flyers, which still hold a significant place among promotional materials. Since they are usually produced in larger quantities, the product later reaches a large number of people. Let's return to flyer design and mention some of the elements a flyer should contain.
Unlike many online advertisements, commercial (advertising) printed products, including flyers, come into direct contact with the consumer. This can be a potential first step toward selling a service or product, so it is important that the key content of the flyer is not overshadowed by unnecessary illustrations, text, animations...
Before producing a flyer you need to determine the target audience it is intended for. First establish the age group and gender your product or service is aimed at. Then follow trends, see what attracts your target group's attention and use that to win them over.
If you have competitors, it is useful to research their methods and design ideas and then decide in which direction your advertising will go.
Examples:
For pensioners use soft colors, with striking text, larger font, sans-serif in a darker color. Try to put more information about your service in the image than in the text.
For younger generations choose more dominant colors; you want to achieve contrast (yellow – purple, yellow – black...), play with fonts. Find a font that best describes your service or product. Insert an interesting picture or illustration.
For a flyer to meet all the conditions to be successful we must follow some rules and use certain basic elements.
A flyer should contain these basic elements:
Contact and information about the person/company being advertised. This, along with the logo, should leave your unique stamp, the way the consumer will reach you. When designing, pay attention twice to whether you leave accurate details (address, email, phone, website, social networks...).
The second element is the headline. It should be nicely integrated into the composition of your flyer so that it is the one detail that will make the viewer interested to read/look at the rest of the flyer, and then perhaps visit your website, social networks...
The third element, perhaps the most important for the person/company advertising with a flyer, is a unique logo. With it you will distinguish yourself from the sea of competitors and be unique in your field. Customers will certainly remember a logo well matched with the colors on the flyer.
The fourth element is the text. Try to explain in brief strokes what you are advertising (selling). In just a few sentences you need to convince the consumer that your product/service is the right choice for them.
Lists or charts are the fifth elements on a flyer. Think of yourself—it's much easier for you to have some information shown as a table, list or chart than to find the necessary information in blocks of text. The same goes for consumers; this way you enable them an easier overview of information. A flyer with these elements will make a much stronger impression and your flyer will look more professional.
The sixth element is a photograph. The text on the flyer should speak for you, but without an image the consumer will not have the full picture of the product or service you offer. Therefore it is important that the photo you place is well matched with the flyer's color, is interesting and, most importantly, of good quality. Placing a low-quality image can be off-putting and achieve an undesirable effect in advertising.
As a rule you should adhere to all these rules, but in rare situations you may deviate from them (the client insists, following the rules spoils the advertising message...).
Is the quality of printing and finishing important?
As with all products, in the graphic industry the quality of printing and finishing is first and foremost a reflection of the printing house, and then of the client/company that decided to cooperate with the printing house.
So the quality of printing is very important. If an advertising flyer is not of good quality, what impression will the consumer form about the product or service you want to sell them?
Proof printing house can boast the most modern machines and printing and finishing techniques. We are here to help you with the design that will be on the flyer, printing it, and then finishing.

7 elements every flyer should contain
Increasing market competition forces us to use a wide range of marketing and advertising methods in order to successfully sell our product or service. Flyers are certainly one of the good ways to reach a large number of users. Unlike digital forms of advertising, printed material is something that goes directly into the hands of a potential customer and inevitably attracts their attention. Even after a day or two, a person will find that flyer on the table and remember you.
However, for that person to want to make a purchase or use your services, the flyer needs to be professionally designed, have a color combination that is pleasant to the eye, and contain the following elements:
1. Contact information
This is somewhat obvious, but it's worth mentioning. If a flyer lacks accurate contact details for your company, it is unlikely to lead to a purchase. Always double-check the address, email address, and phone number
2. Clear and eye-catching headline
In this way you convey a message in a fraction of a second. If the headline intrigues a potential customer, they will be willing to spend another minute of their time to read more details about what it's about
3. Logo
One way to become recognizable to customers is to have a well-designed logo. It would be good to match the colors on the flyer so that the logo stands out while not clashing with the rest of the design.
4. The text that will set you apart from others
Try to explain in a few words or sentences what makes you different from the competition and what only you have to offer.

5. Lists or charts
The human brain processes lists or charts much faster and more easily than blocks of text. That's why a flyer that contains these elements will have a greater impact.
6. High-quality photographs
If you use low-quality photos in your flyer design, you are unlikely to make a good first impression. On the contrary, it can do more harm than good. That's why it's important to use professional photographs and quality printing.
7. Links to social media pages
If you have a Facebook or other page where you present your company in detail, be sure to include the link on the flyer. This is especially useful if that page has a large number of followers, as it speaks to the popularity and credibility of your brand.
